Energy Assessments for Small Businesses
The Small Business Development Center at Onondaga Community College, in partnership with the Northside Collaboratory, is referring businesses to resources that can provide energy assessments for their businesses.
Why Have an Energy Audit?
- An energy audit could save your business up to $5,000 a year
- Create a more comfortable and sustainable physical space
- Become eligible for resourses to help market and grow your business, increase customer reach and improve your bottom line
An energy audit is socially and enviromentally responsible and attracts new customers to your "green" business.
All small businesses are elligible.
How Long Does it Take?
- The comprehensive energy assessment requires 2-4 hours of your time
- There is a follow up meeting 4-6 weeks later which will show you ways to decrease your energy usage and increase your bottom line
- Ongoing support is available for making energy saving changes to your business.
What Support is Available for Implementing Follow-On Recommendations?
- Assistance in designing and choosing an implementation plan
- Low interest loan funds
- Free and confidential business counseling
